BIOGRAPHY of

Violet Arnold

Secretary

Violet Arnold lives on a farm in Glenoma, Washington, with her husband John. She was born in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Oscar and LaVerne Jones. Life was quiet, mostly interrupted by family re-unions and a few fishing and camping trips. She learned to love the outdoors as a young child.

Life hit the fast track when she met and married her husband. She would set up a home, then tear it down and do it again…. She learned management skills through the experiences, of raising kids out side the box, how do you give freedom to a 14 year old in a foreign country without actually letting them have it? She found that duties as a military wife teaches a maraud of life lessons fast and furious. With an Associates degree in Theology she often led Vacation Bible School, Sunday School classes, at many stations across the US and over seas.

She has worked side by side with her husband, starting and maintaining his business. She learned the necessary skills such as Employee manager, 1st Aid Instructor; Passenger Assistance Trainer, Child Seat Technician, Drug & Alcohol Supervisor, etc.

She is an active member in the Lewis County Sheriffs Office Volunteers, where she participates in Child ID, Child seat checks, and once a year Lewis County Fair safety patrol.

She learned hunting skills by going with her husband, and it didn’t take much to get hooked. She is an expert shot, but hunts with a bow, she likes the slower pace it affords. So far she has only shot one deer, She says “it doesn’t matter as long as the opportunity exists, it’ll happen again”. She says the reason she’s here is to keep our hunting and fishing rights alive and well, and to filibuster anyone who thinks different. She believes God made this earth for us to enjoy, and she wants to work toward that goal.

She got started in EITW through the CORT training classes, and it blossomed into a spot on the board. She feels lucky to have this opportunity.
